It was previously announced that the iconic animated series was collaborating with Fortnite, but that's not the only destination where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the universe of Springfield. The long-running series is coming over to the popular soccer-driving hybrid, introducing an in-game car skin that will also be compatible in the Fortnite universe. That said, if gamers will truly desire to use it is another question, as there's only one Simpsons car everyone is eager to drive, and this new offering isn't that one.
Although most gamers would absolutely enjoy to face off behind the wheel of Homer's custom creation—the notoriously impractical car Homer built personally in the classic installment "the one where he meets Herb"—regrettably, that isn't what players are receiving. Not even receiving the Canyonero, the heavy-duty truck featured in season 10. Instead, fans are getting the family's standard beat-up four-door, which they've been driving since 1989. Though this particular car has accumulated plenty of miles, it stands as an iconic symbol of the series. And for players who analyze Rocket League vehicle dimensions, the trusty sedan uses the same hitbox as the Dominus.

But that's not the only cosmetic from the show coming to Rocket League. The event will additionally feature a series of challenges to earn more goodies, all of which are inspired by the show. According to a press release, the challenges will task participants to "get as many centers and clears as there are The Simpsons seasons, collect boost pickups as if your GPS is set to the Simpson house, and drive a distance worthy of picking up the perfect donuts!"
While the full lineup of challenge rewards hasn't been disclosed, here is what's been announced up to this point:
If the key art is any indication, it appears players will also get wheels featuring a television displaying the show's opening credits, alien antenna toppers, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts inspired by burning tires and Krusty Burger.
The Rocket League collaboration lines up with the major Simpsons takeover of Fortnite, which includes a completely new map of Springfield, as well as a 30-day Battle Pass. This special Rocket League and Simpsons event begins on Saturday, Nov. 1 and ends on Nov. 17.
